For this Literacy unit, Ben and I had the students write a Relate/Reflect response every 2-3 days. This provided many opportunities for the students to receive feedback and apply the feedback to their next response. Here are some pictures of what that looked like:
We also worked on Writing in Role. This is the Success Criteria for that and a sample of the feedback students received.
This is a sample of a Relate/Reflect Response and the feedback students received. Every student received feedback, even when they achieved level 4s.
During our unit, students discussed the novel we were reading (Hunger Games). Students were in groups of 5-6 and had to discuss 2 questions (that they had time to prepare). Each group recorded their discussions using Educreations with an ipad. I was then able to listen to their discussions and provide some feedback. I sat with a group each discussion to help bump up their thinking and discussion.
More samples of Relate/Reflect Responses and the feedback provided.
